I will photograph you and your family during the mid-to-latter stages of your pregnancy in a stunning outdoor location. You will receive beautiful photographs of this special time in your lives, recording your pregnancy and capturing any older siblings interacting with your baby bump.

A maternity photography session is a great way for us to get to know each other in advance of your newborn photography session, and I take care to respect the things that are so hard in pregancy – we won’t be walking miles or jumping up and down!

I photograph big kids and young adults, as well as little children!  My focus when photographing teenagers is to encourage lots of laughter. We usually meet on location for an hour or so, and I will capture a mixture individual and group photographs.

I am a newborn photographer in Surrey and South-West London. My natural newborn photography sessions will record this fleeting moment in family life with a relaxed approach. I will visit you and your family at home during the early weeks after your baby arrives. We will spend a couple of hours together capturing some relaxed and natural images of you, baby, any other siblings, and other family members.

I’m a mum to two little people, so I understand the stresses and pressures on parents during this time. My newborn photo shoots are entirely baby-led. That means that we follow your baby’s lead for sleep, feeds and play. I always try to make older siblings feel special, and make the photography session about the whole family and not just your new addition.

I’ll tell you a lot about how to prepare once you’ve booked your photo shoot with me, but until then, here are 3 tips for a stree-free newborn photo shoot:

1. Let me come to you – having your newborn photographs taken in your own home will significantly reduce the stress factor for you. You won’t need to pack anything, there is no travel time, no parking worries, and you can’t forget to bring anything because it’s all right there for you!
2. Eat, drink & sit down. I encourage my mummies to keep their sustenance up during our shoot. Eat, drink and sit down at every opportunity! I know exactly how it feels in those early weeks postpartum, and looking after yourself must be a priority. We take breaks whenever anyone needs to refuel, especially baby!
3. Treat yourself. Splash out on something that you feel good wearing, or book yourself a blow dry before I arrive – these are small costs in the context of your investment in photography, but contribute hugely to your self confidence and stress levels on the day!

1. Relax. I have photographed hundreds of children and met almost every personality type there is! I don’t expect or need children to be on their best behaviour in order to capture beautiful photographs of them.
2. Eat. Full tummies mean lots of energy and enthusiasm for fun and games!
3. Prepare your clothing choices. More about this when we’ve scheduled your photo shoot, but a bit of prep for your outfits goes a long way.
