Ten Surrey Christmas gift ideas

Today I’m bringing you ten Surrey Christmas gift ideas. I love finding and supporting local businesses. Being a Surrey family photographer, I know how much it means when people support their local community and shop locally. We are very lucky to have some wonderful businesses right on our doorstep! Here are ten gift ideas from businesses based right here in Surrey to give you some inspiration this season.

Naomi’s bakehouse  - Brownie Gift Box

If you haven’t tried one of Naomi’s cakes you might want to order this for yourself, they really are amazing (yes I’ve personally tasted!). A brownie gift box would make a great treat for friends or for a teacher. They are priced at £25 for one box or £45 for two, which includes free local delivery (KT11, KT12, KT13). Order soon to avoid disappointment, these brownies will certainly sell out!

Mini Maison - childrens' decor

Mini Maison surrey

Mini Maison is run by Surrey mum Jo, and offers modern and playful nursery and kids’ decor to style-concious consumers. I could get lost in the website for hours, but to save you the time, I’ve fallen in love with the unicorn rocker, scandi wooden kitchen or for tiny tots, the ice cream cone teether is a winner!

Marie Davey Photography - Surrey photography calendars, prints and cards

Marie is an award-winning photographer based in Bookham who takes some stunning landscape shots in and around Surrey. Her images are available as notecards (£2.50 each or £8 for four), in box frames (£15 each or two for £25) and on my shopping list this Christmas are her 2019 calandars (£12 each or two for £20) – click here for Marie’s online shop. If you are friends with me and you’re reading this, you might just be getting one of these calendars for Christmas!

DABs - Christmas gifts

DABs christmas surrey

DABs is a start up business run by two local mums who just love to craft. Check out theses on-trend geometric wreaths and other gorgeous homewares and decorations on their Facebook page.

Monkey Music - Pre-school classes

Our family love Monkey Music. I first attended with my daughter, and now with my son – I think I must have sung and danced my way through a couple of hundred classes, and I love it just as much as the kids. I’m really excited that Moneky Music now offers gift vouchers. This is a great option to suggest to the grandparents wanting to buy Christmas presents for my kids – we have loads of toys already, so the gift of music lessons is the perfect alternative!

Email Alex directly for gift voucher enquiries – weybridge.cobham@monkeymusic.co.uk

Hersham Village Market - Handmade goods

Not really a single gift but more a source of lots of lovely handmade goods. Our very own Hersham Village market has some amazing gifts for all ages and budgets. From a jar of local honey through to some hand knitted socks, there really is something from everyone at the market. (Fridays 11.45am – 1.15pm – All Saints Church Hall)

Denbies - Wine Tour

If you know anyone who likes wine, making it or just drinking it, this might be the gift for them. The lovely Denbies have some great wine tours which run year round as well as some that include tasting gin or cheese.

Duck & Bean - Kids clothes

I always get the kids some new clothes for Christmas and this year I might try to get them some matching harem leggings from Duck & Bean. With so many to choose from it is going to be a difficult choice. The nordic Christmas trees on the right hand side above have my heart I think!

Duck & Bean clothing is made by Surrey-mum Katie Flower. It is designed to be durable, comfortable, unisex and most importantly – machine washable! The clothing also only uses non-toxic fabric inks.

They also offer coordinating leggings in grown-up sizes… just saying…!

Beanberry coffee - Organic coffee

This coffee is roasted just down the road in Woking. I particularly like the sound of the 8am cup which was designed to be punchy in the morning! Maybe that is one to add to my list?
